Domain name cybersquatting in 2012: analysis of UDRP decisions released by WIPO

Keep Alert, specialized in online brand monitoring, analyzed more than 2200 UDRP decisions released by WIPO in 2012 in order to gain exclusive insights into domain name cybersquatting.

The World Intellectual Property Organization’s (WIPO) Arbitration and Mediation Center offers domain name dispute resolution services under the Uniform Domain Name Dispute Resolution Policy (UDRP). The UDRP policy is applicable to second-level domain name registrations in the following gTLDs: .aero, .asia, .biz, .cat, .com, .coop, .info, .jobs, .mobi, .museum, .name, .net, .org, .pro, .tel and .travel. Since 1999, WIPO has released more than 26 000 UDRP decisions.
